WETIA hosted a two-day workshop on Education Technology with the Asia Graduate School of Theology (AGST) last week. Over 30 attendants gathered from approximately 15 theological schools from around South East Asia at the Christian Council of Malaysia offices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Facilitated by WETIA Executive Director Dr. Walker Tzeng, the workshops focused on introducing schools to the usage and availability of education technology. Attendants gathered in small groups to discuss practical applications of technology in their schools both for blended and flipped classroom learning, as well as possibilities for offering courses online.
In addition, Dr. Tzeng facilitated hands-on demonstrations for various education technology tools and provided time for questions and answers of the attendants.
Towards the end of the workshop, attendants discussed practical next-step to take in order to progress towards using more education technology in their respective institutions.
The workshop was the first of its kind hosted by WETIA, with future workshops possibly available in different parts of the world.
